Free tool
DPDP privacy notice generator.
Answer a few questions and get a privacy notice for India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, in English and up to 22 Indian languages. Edit it, download it, and publish it on your website or app.
Everything runs in your browser. What you type and any logo you add are never sent to my server. Not sure what the DPDP Act means for your business? Take a look at my consulting services.
Your Details
Draft, not legal advice. This tool produces a starting point based on the Act. Translations are machine-assisted drafts, so have a native speaker review them before publishing. Have the final notice checked against what your business actually does with data.
Your Privacy Notice
Before you publish: read the notice through, check that it matches what your business actually does, replace anything that does not apply, and link it from your website footer and wherever you collect personal data.
Common Questions
Who needs a DPDP privacy notice?
Any business or organisation that collects or handles personal data of people in India, including websites, apps, online stores and service providers, needs to tell people what it collects, why, and how they can exercise their rights.
Is my information stored anywhere?
No. The generator runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to or stored on my server, and your logo stays on your device.
Can I rely on the translations?
Treat them as drafts. Legal wording is hard to translate, so have a fluent reader check each language before you publish it.
Does this replace legal advice?
No. It gives you a structured starting point. If you handle sensitive data, children’s data, or operate at scale, ask a qualified lawyer to review the final notice.
Can you add this to my website?
Yes. I can publish the notice, link it correctly across your site and set up consent forms. See website development or get in touch.
